2019: The year of Wyoming Women

On December 10, 1869, the Wyoming territory passed the first unconditional law in the U.S. permanently guaranteeing women their inherent right to vote and hold office; that's a full 50 years before women in the rest of the United States were guaranteed this right. In honor of the 150th anniversary of this monumental day in the Equality State, 2019 has been deemed the Year of Wyoming Women. To celebrate, a number of events are being held across the state throughout the year.
