Wyoming’s National Parks, Historic Sites and Recreation Areas Return to Normal After Federal Government Shutdown Ends

January 23, 2018—Wyoming—With the ending of the federal government shutdown yesterday, Wyoming’s national parks, national historic sites, national monuments and national recreation areas saw the return of National Park Service employees today, along with the return of services regularly provided by the NPS.

During the federal government shutdown, access to national parks, recreation areas and historic areas remained open to visitors. While NPS-provided services were limited, concessioners continued to accommodate visitors with lodging, dining, transportation and regularly-scheduled tours.
