Three Rugged Routes

Micayla + Tyrhee

STARTING POINT: THE TETON RANGE

There’s an art to every adventure, which Micayla Gatto, a professional mountain biker and artist, and Tyrhee Moore, a mountaineer and outdoor educator, put into practice on their run across Wyoming. They get their boots wet on the mighty New Fork River before shredding some of the Bridger-Teton National Forest’s finest mountain biking trails. Then they head up Sinks Canyon just outside Lander where they both push their limits on towering granite walls. Would you go for the beginner routes or send it on a 5.14c?

Aaron + Kayla

STARTING POINT: THE BIGHORNS

There’s not a whole lot that’s going to hold Aaron Mulkey and Kayla Lockhart back. A professional ice climber and a fly-fishing angler, respectively, they shift into gear on Shell Canyon’s epic single track before they climb higher than Kayla ever has on the iconic Steamboat Point crag near Sheridan. Then they’re in their element as they wade into the waters of the Big Horn River in search of trophy trout. When you set out, where will you rise to the occasion?

Andrew + Lael

STARTING POINT: THE LARAMIE RANGE

Andrew Muse, an adventure athlete and photographer, and Lael Johnson, a fly-fishing guide, know a thing or two about chasing their dreams—and the work it takes to make it happen. They kick off their journey with some climbing in Fremont Canyon before chasing mammoth trout in the blue-ribbon waters of the infamous Gray Reef stretch on the North Platte River. Then they both take a new skill to new heights as they navigate the ridgelines at Johnny Behind the Rocks mountain biking trail system. Think you could keep up?
