Getting Around Wyoming

TIps for Traveling Wyoming

Before you head out on the road, be sure to check weather and road conditions, emergency alerts and a map of the state’s major highways.Be aware that every town marked on the map may not have services, or may not have services 24 hours a day. Wyoming's wide open spaces means there is a lot to see, so travelers are encouraged to have a half tank of gas in order to visit all the destinations on your itinerary. This ensures that you can go full-steam ahead without having to double check the tank.

Wyoming's high altitude may affect your car's performance. Pay attention to what seems normal for your car and its capabilities.

Please Note: During the summer months, reservations are recommended for all types of accommodations.
