Snowboarding near Casper

Hogadon Ski Area, located on Casper Mountain, has a nice variety of terrain for visitors to the center of the state. This small resort offers affordable snowboarding and a variety of runs, including a terrain among its 92 acres of runs. When you're done on the mountain for the day, kick back in the newly renovated lodge for a meal, a drink and amazing views of the city.

Snowboarding near Cody

Sleeping Giant Ski Area near Cody, has epic runs and is only three miles from Yellowstone National Park. An incredibly affordable resort, Sleeping Giant includes 49 runs for varying skill levels, two terrain parks and a 6,619-foot vertical drop.

Snowboarding near Jackson

And for anyone skeptical of the state’s powder making capacity, get this: Jackson gets an average of 459 inches of snow per year, while Grand Targhee racks up more than 500 inches.

Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is a true snowboarder’s paradise no matter what your expeirence level. Pros can tackle the largest lift-accessed vertical drop in the country (4,139 feet), in addition to countless cliffs, chutes, peaks and bowls. Meanwhile, beginners and intermediate riders can shred and take lessions from experienced snowboarders. There’s also a superpipe with a rope tow and two terrain parks to work on your tricks. With 2,500 acres of terrain and 116 named trails, there’s something for every rider here.

On the other side of the valley and located right in the heart of downtown Jackson, Snow King Resort brings a completely different snowboarding experience as it caters to those who prefer long, steep slopes. If hitting the mountain isn’t the only thing on your agenda, this resort offers two-hour lift tickets at a great price.

If you love to make fresh tracks, Grand Targhee is the resort for you. Located just west of the town of Jackson in Alta, powder hounds will delight at having this quieter resort all to themselves. Most of the resort features ungroomed, off-piste, intermediate riding. Advanced riders craving a bigger challenge can head over the pass and down the backside of the mountain into the area’s backcountry terrain.

Snowboarding near Laramie

In southeast Wyoming near Laramie, Snowy Range Ski Area is ideal for a laid-back family snowboarding trip. This low-cost resort features a majority of beginner and intermediate runs perfect for those new to the sport or craving a relaxed day on the slopes.

Snowboarding near Pinedale

Nestled among the Wind River Mountains near Pinedale, you'll find the locally owned White Pine Ski Area. This small and affordable mountain features 25 runs over a variety of terrain and features stunning views of the Continental Divide and Wind River Mountains. 

Snowboarding near Ten Sleep

For affordable, family-friendly snowboarding in north-central Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains, consider Meadowlark Ski Lodge. This snowboarding area near Ten Sleep features 14 runs, most of which are for beginner and intermediate snowboarders. Lodging and snowmobile rentals are available on the other side of Meadowlark Lake, with over 450 miles of groomed snowmobile trails nearby.
