The Wyoming Media Library

Frequently Asked Questions

The Wyoming Media Library (WML) is the one and only visual asset library used by the Wyoming Office of Tourism and friends. We have made this resource free and public so that industry partners, public relations, and media alike may find value in  downloading and distributing high quality Wyoming imagry. Due to the numerous uses of WML, we encourage photographers to add to our growing collection. We hope you enjoy the beautiful collections and utilize the library as much as we do.

Q: What types of assets does the Wyoming Media Library contain?
A: Assets included within the library are images, videos, and logos that pose relevance to Wyoming.

Q: Do I have to register for an account to gain access to the Wyoming Media Library?
A: No, you do not have to register for an account to access the Wyoming Media Library. Anyone can browse the library and it's galleries without an account. However, if you wish to download images, you must create an account.

Q: I previously emailed the Wyoming Office of Tourism with my media requests. May I still do that?
A: Yes, you may. Your media will be sent via a Lightbox (a collection of assets, similar to that of a folder) through the Wyoming Media Library. If you should require multiple downloads from the WML, we ask that you register for an account. An added benefit of registering for an account is the full ability to search and download media twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, on-demand.

Q: Can the Wyoming Media Library help me scout locations for my next Wyoming film?
A: Yes. There are a wide variety of location images as well as aerial landscape videos. As always, we are glad to assist filmmakers in their location scouting within the State of Wyoming. Visit the Wyoming Film Office.

Q: I am a Wyoming photographer. May I share my images for use within the Wyoming Media Library?
A: Yes. We encourage Wyoming photographers to share their best work with us. Please email us for more information on becoming a Wyoming Photography Partner and to contribute to the WML.

Q: I am an Industry Partner with the Wyoming Office of Tourism. May I contribute images and video of my destination for distribution through the Library?
A: Yes. We encourage our in-state partners to assess current assets within their area and contribute additional assets for us to share and represent on their behalf. All images are credited to the provider.

Q: What are the specifications to contribute images and video to the Wyoming Media Library?
A: To contribute, you may email us your assets in any file format with a minimum of 1920 x 1080 pixels and at least 300 dpi.
