Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What types of assets does the Wyoming Media Library contain?
A: Assets included within the library are images, videos, and logos that pose relevance to Wyoming. 

Q: Do I have to register for an account to gain access to the Wyoming Media Library?
A: No, you do not have to register for an account to access the Wyoming Media Library. Anyone can browse the library and it's galleries without an account. However, if you wish to download images, you must create an account to gain download priveleges.

Q: I previously could email the Wyoming Office of Tourism with my media requests. May I still do that?
A: Yes, you may, but your media will be sent via a Lightbox (a collection of assets) through the Wyoming Media Library. If you will request media more than once, we ask that you register for access to the library. An added benefit of registering for access is the full ability to search and download media twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, on-demand. 

Q: Can the Wyoming Media Library help me scout locations for my next Wyoming film?
A: Yes. There are a wide variety of location images as well as aerial landscape videos. As always, we are glad to assist filmmakers in their location scouting within the State of Wyoming. Visit the Wyoming Film Office. 

Q: I am a Wyoming photographer. May I share my images for use within the Wyoming Media Library?
A: Yes. We encourage Wyoming photographers to share their best work with us. Please email us for more information on becoming a Wyoming Photography Partner. 

Q: I am an Industry Partner with the Wyoming Office of Tourism. May I contribute images and video of my destination for distribution through the Library?
A: Yes. We encourage our in-state partners to contribute assets for us to share on their behalf. All images are credited to the provider.
