The campground is composed of three unnamed loops located along Granite Creek. It is nicely shaded by a pleasant mixture of
Douglas fir, Engelmann Spruce and other conifers. There is little understory or middlestory providing minimal privacy between camping sites. Some camping sites overlook the creek while others have spectacular vistas of the surrounding mountains. An interpretive program is provided each weekend at the amphitheater. Granite Falls is a short walk north of the campground.
About 0.7 miles north of the campground is the Granite Hot Springs Pool. This is a hot springs oasis built by the Civilian
Conservation Corps (CCC) in 1933. The pool's temperature ranges from 93 degrees in the summer to 112 degrees in the winter. The pool is excellent for the whole family for swimming - a fee is charged.
