Familiarization Tours

The Wyoming Office of Tourism’s (WOT) Visitor Services department organizes Familiarization (FAM) tours in different counties in Wyoming annually.

The purpose of the Visitor Services FAM tours are to provide additional training opportunities for visitor services staff and industry partners through a condensed and focused program. This FAM is catered towards frontline staff in the tourism industry who have consistent interaction with visitors to our state.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Wyoming and speak first-hand to visitors about experiences in which could lead to an increase in their length of stay in our state.

2018 Spring FAM

Join the Wyoming Office of Tourism May 3-5, 2018 for a familiarization tour of the southwest corner of Wyoming. Come trail blaze with us at the Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge. Tour Historic Ft. Bridger just in time for the 150th Treaty Commemorations. Boat the Flaming Gorge for an experience of a lifetime! All this and more included within our tentative itinerary.

In accordance to industry survey results, we have now incorporated multiple networking and customer service training opportunities throughout the 2018 FAM. These will be conducted during bus travel as well as a classroom styled session.

Cost will be approximately $500 per attendee to include all hotels, meals, transportation, and activities. The Office of Tourism will again be offering the opportunity to be awarded scholarships to help offset costs for select individuals.
