The Half Moon Lake Campground is located approximately 10 miles northeast from Pinedale at the base of Half Moon Lake Mountain. It has 18 campsites (some with views of the lake) on the northeastern shore of Half Moon Lake. There is a boat launch, small beach, restroom, and trash bin nearby. Trails from the campground lead east to Pole Creek, Fayette Lake, and Little Half Moon Lake. Area activities include hiking, horse riding, motorized and non-motorized boating, swimming, fishing, water sports, wildlife viewing, and Half Moon Lake Lodge Restaurant and Marina.
Directions: From Pinedale, travel 3 miles north on Fremont Lake Road. Go north another 3 miles on Skyline Drive until you get to FR 114/Half Moon Lake Road. Latitude: 42.936 Longitude: 109.75
The season is May to September and the fee is $7/night.
