The idea for The Kitchen came from a vision of a restaurant that would provide something different - a refined, yet casual establishment that would provide modern cuisine with a comforting twist.
The cuisine at The Kitchen embraces various culinary techniques and ingredients including the freshest fish, meats and seasonal vegetables. The presentation is clean, simple, natural and uncomplicated.
The beautiful and elegant architecture of the building mirrors the concepts in the food. Purchased in June 2005, the old A-frame structured house was renovated to create a space with award-winning design and remarkable ambiance. Friends at Tobler-Dunker Architects were hired to design a space that was like the cuisine itself - clean, simplistic and visually stunning. The modern yet comforting theme led to the bamboo bar and tables, the luminescent eco-panel wave of light, and natural color scheme. An open kitchen design allows for greater connection with guests and offers a personalized experience. Enjoy a large outdoor deck during the long summer nights or warm up in the cozy main dining room in winter.
