Where Cowboys Ride
Where Cowboys Ride: A Love Letter to Wyoming
Country Sweetheart Sarah Darling Releases Music Video Filmed in the Cowboy State
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, country singer-songwriter Sarah Darling premiered the video for her latest single, “Where Cowboys Ride” on CMT Friday, February 10, 2017. Filmed in partnership with the Wyoming Office of Tourism, the video was filmed outside of Dubois, Wyoming, and is a ballad about the Cowboy State.
“This song is my love letter to Wyoming,” said Darling. “Wyoming is magic because it’s a place real cowboys call home. We’ve lost so much of the authenticity of the Old West, but Wyoming is a place where—no matter who you are or where you come from—you can slow down and feel the spirit of cowboys, both past and present.”
Wyoming is known for its natural wonders, wide-open spaces, incredible stars and a rich history that’s a combination of geological wonders, hearty pioneers, American Indians and one of the nation’s most iconic figures—the cowboy.
“Here in Wyoming, the cowboy lifestyle is the Wyoming lifestyle,” said Diane Shober, executive director for Wyoming Office of Tourism. “One of the beautiful things about this place is that you don’t have to go back in time to find cowboys riding the range. The cowboy lifestyle is alive and well and we love that we’re able to share that spirit and those genuine experiences with our visitors.”
Darling and her team filmed the video on a private ranch near Dubois this past October.
“One of the reasons we filmed this video in Wyoming is because the place and people are authentic,” added Darling. “No one you meet is “playing” cowboy.”
Darling’s latest single, “Where Cowboys Ride,” is from her new album, Dream Country, is currently available at http://apple.co/2k6jILO.
